Construction Skills Shared Apprentice Scheme: Josh Jackson
Josh completed a construction course at a college in South London, but had been unable to secure an apprenticeship. Evolve in partnership with the CITB secured a vacancy with Balfour Beatty/Moortown for a groundwork apprenticeship. With just a week to turnaround the vacancy, Evolve interviewed several candidates with Moortown and the CITB.

Josh was the successful candidate and says: “So far I am really enjoying my placement and have learnt a lot. Before starting with Moortown I knew that I wanted to work in the construction industry and had been looking for a job for a while, whilst working two part-time jobs but struggled to find anything. So when I heard about this opportunity with the Shared Apprenticeship Scheme I jumped at the chance. The team are really friendly and have made me feel welcome. I’m learning more every day.”
