Apprenticeship Description; 

Level 3 Installation Electricians install electrical systems in industrial, commercial and domestic environments. Electricians might work in both indoor and outdoor settings. Electrical equipment and systems may include switchboards, motors, cables, fuses, thermal relays, fault current protection switches, heating, lighting, air conditioning and metering equipment as well as crime and fire alarm systems and renewable energy technologies. They may contribute to the design of electrical systems. They can set out jobs from drawings and specifications and requisition the necessary installation materials. Level 3 Installation Electricians work on the installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of low voltage (less than 1000v) electrical and electronic devices and appliances. 

Entry Requirements; 

Qualifications – Level 2 English and Maths must be achieved before taking your end point assessment, if not already held. 


Behaviour/Characteristics : You will attend college one day a week and the other four will be on site. You must be dedicated to starting and completing this apprenticeship. Be able to manage your time, follow instructions, and work as part of a team. Be willing to travel. Have basic computer skills.  

If Successful; 

  • You will receive a fully funded apprenticeship with experience on site and the college qualification 

  • Minimum of 35 hours a week working on site and a day at college 

  • You will be paid a wage for all hours worked and spent at college 

  • Statutory Pension and Statutory Leave 

  • Potential for continued employment or help gaining employment through our Employee Assistance Programme
