Brief overview
We are looking for Waltham Forest borough residents who are interested in completing a Level 2 Interior Systems Dry Lining Apprenticeship. The successful candidate will spend 24 months working as a Drylining Apprentice as part of the CITB Shared Apprenticeship Scheme. Employed by Evolve Apprentices while earning a wage, gaining work experience, and a qualification.

- Hourly wage
£4.81 – £9.50 (National Minimum Wage subject to age) or £11.05 (London Living Wage) subject to the construction company.
Statutory Sick and Holiday Pay + Bank Holiday Pay, automatic enrolment into the NEST Pension Scheme, Bike2Work Scheme partners, Apprenticeship Oyster Card available for first-year travel discounts, NUS Discount Cards, and course costs covered by Evolve.
- Working week
Monday-Friday, weekends may be an option. 40 hours per week but the potential for more. Approx. 8 am-5 pm but hours will be confirmed by the contractor after successfully passing the Stage 1 & 2 Interview.

What will the apprentice be doing?
While all apprenticeships contain a fair amount of labouring, tidying of the work area, and tool fetching, dry lining apprentices will also progress into the below tasks.
– Measuring and cutting plasterboard to the right size
– Fixing boards to metal or timber ceiling joists
– Cutting boards to fit around doorways and windows
– Sealing joints using fillers and adhesives
– Taping over seals and applying plaster to the boards
– Sanding down surfaces ready for painting and decorating
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The qualification you would be working for is the Level 2 Interior Systems – Dry Lining (Standard)
This training will mainly be through remote learning with paid study time as needed up to 7 hours/1 days per week. You are expected to travel when necessary though most assessments will be done on-site. You will be responsible for managing/arranging with your line manager.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
On completion of this apprenticeship, you can work as a qualified Junior Dry Liner where, with more experience, you can look to progress into a senior dry lining position, site/contracts/project management, self-employment, or interior systems business owner.
You will be eligible for the Skilled Worker (Blue) CSCS Card after the level 2 qualification

CITB Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) Operative test (passed within 2 years) essential
Level 1 Certificate in Health & Safety in a Construction Environment (passed) desired
CSCS Card (valid) desired
