Providing Social Value

Evolve aims to deliver social value and create opportunities for disadvantaged groups. We reinvest a majority of our surplus to create fair and inclusive recruitment processes, apprenticeships, and to ensure an empathetic and supportive management of our programmes.

Social

We have highlighted some examples of Social Value and reinvestment below

Social Enterprise UK

Evolve is registered as a social enterprise.

SEUK have created the world’s largest commitment to social procurement through the Buy Social Corporate Challenge and Evolve will be taking part.

B&CE Charitable Trust

The grant we’ve received from B&CE’s Charitable Trust will support our work in the Hillingdon borough to provide a 10-day long course to 10 apprentices which we hope will create opportunities for black, Asian and minority ethnic people and women.

To apply please visit the Evolve jobs page.

Care Leaver Covenant

The Care Leaver Covenant (CLC) is part of the government’s keep on caring strategy to support people leaving care to become independent.

Armed Forces Covenant

To those who proudly protect our nation, who do so with honour, courage, and commitment, the Armed Forces Covenant is the nation’s commitment to you.

It is a pledge that together we acknowledge and understand that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy and society they serve with their lives.

Time to Change Pledge

As part of our dedication to tackling mental health discrimination, Evolve will sign the Time to Change pledge later in 2019. As per our application, it is hoped that we sign this pledge to coincide with the launch of our new Employee Assistance Programme. Furthermore, we plan for the signing to take place at a prestigious construction site in London.

Women into Construction

WIC promotes gender equality in the construction industry, providing bespoke support to women.

Evolve is a member.

Diversity Pledge

The Mayor’s Fund is campaigning for young Londoners from low income backgrounds to have equal access to the outstanding opportunities the capital has to offer. The Diversity Pledge, which was developed through a partnership with the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, is an opportunity for employers to publicly commit to the importance of building a more diverse staff base.

We at Evolve will publish our pledge shortly.

In addition, we are working with the Workforce Integration Network at the GLA and Black Training and Enterprise Group on a new recruitment toolkit.

Fairness, Inclusion and Respect in Construction

The FIR Programme is an industry-wide initiative that is making workplaces better for everyone. We provide free resources and training to any person or company that wants to access and use them. We help employers to meet their legal obligations around equality and anti-discrimination and to empower people to make their workplaces more supportive for all.

As part of our commitment to a fair and inclusive recruitment process, Evolve staff have been accredited as Fairness, Inclusion and Respect in Construction Ambassadors.

Single Homeless Project

Single Homeless Project (SHP), is a London-wide charity working to prevent homelessness and help vulnerable and socially excluded people to transform their lives.
They do this by providing support and accommodation, promoting wellbeing, enhancing opportunity, and being a voice for change.
From supporting people in crisis to helping people take the final steps towards independence and employment, we make a difference to 8,000 lives every year.

Evolve assisted Wates at the SHP in Keane Street, London.

We ensure that Evolve staff are able to provide as much expertise and experience as possible to both clients and candidates.
